Manager of Finance and Sales - Callum Ross

Callum Ross

Callum Ross entered the classical music business in 1982, having graduated in Law and Music from King's College London and the Royal College of Music respectively. His first post was with an artist management company which represented musicians including Sir Clifford Curzon, Andres Segovia, Julian Lloyd Webber and the Endellion Quartet. In 1984 he became Administrator of the Warwick Arts Trust in London, responsible inter alia for presenting concert series and the running of a small contemporary art gallery.

In 1987 Callum Ross was appointed as the Assistant Director responsible for programming the Concert Hall of Fairfield Croydon; he subsequently went on to become UK Manager of Sales & Marketing for Steinway & Sons, and then ran Julian Lloyd Webber's private office as Business Administrator before joining Priory at the beginning of 1997.

"Out of hours" Callum Ross has managed the career of his wife, Jane Watts since 1982, first meeting Neil Collier in 1987 after introducing Jane to the company. He founded Young Artists' Platform, a charitable scheme for young musicians, in 1983: the Platform recently celebrated its 17th concert series, including an event at the Wigmore Hall. He was a performing member of the Bach Choir from 1980, but owing to pressure of work (and the arrival of a new baby) resigned to become an associate member in 1999.

Callum Ross' role at Priory includes the management of all finance and sales matters, as well as miscellaneous musical projects.
