Great European Organs No. 78 - Andrew Canning plays the Ruffatti Organ of Uppsala Cathedral, Sweden

This is a stunning brand new organ which has been built in Scandinavia's largest church. It's sounds are breathtaking and Andrew Canning's recital is exciting and brilliantly played. At first glance the programme may seem difficult to access but the music is a rich combination of unrecorded repertoire which will win you over!

Great European Organs No.79 - Arnau Reynes I Florit plays the Grenzing Organ of Sant Francesc, Palma de Mallorca.

This is a new organ in the beautiful church of St.Francesc in Palma. Originally built by Jordi Bosch and finished by Pere Josep Bosch in 1771, the organ survived difficult times until 1956 when an unacceptable rebuild was undertaken by Organeria Espanola. 50 years later in 2008 Grenzing built this new instrument whilst  the Bosch elements are highly respected and carefully restored. It gives the opportunity to interpret a wide range of the repertoire and is considered alongside the best organs in the Mediterranean region.

Great European Organ No.81 - Anthony Hammond plays the restored Organ of Cirencester Parish Church, Gloucestershire.

This organ has a mixed history but has recently been re-built and restored by Harrison and Harrison of Durham. This recital features much uncatalogued material ideal for collectors including James Lyon 's (1872-1949) Sonata - a real find. Just for completeness, we have also recorded the very early Howells Sonata Op.2 which did not feature in our complete Herbert Howells organ series.
